1000 GIRLS IN ICT

FEDERAL MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY PRESENTS ITS 1000 GIRLS FREE 3-DAY BASIC ICT TRAINING PROGRAMME

 The Federal Ministry of Communication Technology presents its 1000 Girls Free 3-day Basic ICT Training programme geared at empowering 1000 Nigerian girls with ICT skills.

The training programme is powered by HUAWEI Technologies in partnership with the Youth Crime Watch of Nigeria (an NGO in special consultative status with United Nations Economic and Social Council).

The programme which was launched on Monday, the 4th of November 2013 has successfully trained girls in Seven (7) batches.

8TH BATCH - 10th - 12th February 2014 (OPEN)

9TH BATCH - 13th, 14th & 17th February 2014 (OPEN)

10TH BATCH - 19th - 21st February 2014 (OPEN)

Venue: HUAWEI TRAINING CENTRE, ORIENTAL HOTEL, 4 LEKKI ROAD, LAGOS

Time:   12:00noon prompt

 CLOSED BATCHES ARE:

7TH BATCH - 22nd - 24th January 2014

6TH BATCH - 16th - 20th January 2014

5TH BATCH - 13th - 15th January 2014

4TH BATCH: 16th -18th Dec, 2013

3RD BATCH: 4th-6th Dec, 2013

2ND BATCH - 25th - 27th November 2013

1ST BATCH - 4th - 7th November 2013

This programme will be launched by Her Excellency, Mrs. Mobolaji Johnson, Honourable Minister for Communication Technology.

 The 3-day training are in the following areas:

1. Introduction to Telecommunication Network

2. Introduction to Transmission Network

3. GSM, LTE and WCDMA Technologies

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a Nigeria Citizen between the age of 18 and 35years

• Must be undergraduate, OND, NCE, HND, B.Sc. Degree holders (unemployed)

In addition, the top 50 girls are to be further put through additional training to acquire certification as HCNA (Huawei Certified Network Associates).
