USE THIS APP AS A CHEAT SHEET FOR THE GRAMMYS

As the Grammy Awards pops in, I’ve counted it a duty to help everyone in here enjoy the experience right from the corner of their bedrooms with this App.

So,take these steps and sail through the Grammy for the entertainment.

The 56th Annual Grammy awards  that aired this Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern, and, unless you’re a 13-year-old girl, you probably haven’t heard half the people who are nominated.
That’s where The Recording Academy’s official app comes in handy. It displays all of this year’s nominees for each category and also allows you to swipe to see who the winners and nominees for the past four years were.
(The full list of Grammy nominees on the Web is here.)
So, for instance, if you wanted to get scholarly about it, you could swipe through to see that Esperanza Spalding, the Best New Artist at the awards show three years ago, is nowhere to be found on this year’s list of nominees. (So much for that vote of confidence.)
The best part of this app, however, is the ability to listen to all the music that’s been honored this year. Here’s how you do it:

1. Download the app on iOS or Android

2. Open the app, and you’ll arrive at this home screen.
Then...
3. Tap the menu, which is the three horizontal lines at the top left of the screen

 4. Tap the section titled Winners & Nominees
5. You’ll be redirected to a page where you can scroll through this year’s nominees, arranged by category. If you’d like to see the nominees and the winners from the past four years, just tap the awards show number at the top of the screen. When you’re ready to listen to music, tap the headphones in the upper-right corner.

6. Snippets of each song you select will begin playing, but if you’d like to hear full songs, you’ll have to log in. To do that, click the Log In button in the upper-left corner of the screen.

7. You’ll then be asked to log into the streaming music service Rdio via Facebook or your own email account. If you don’t have an account with Rdio, then Facebook is the fastest way to log in.

8. If you chose the first option, you’ll then be asked to log into your Facebook account.

9. After you’ve entered your information, you’ll be asked to allow the Grammy app access to your Rdio account (which you just logged into via Facebook). I know, so many apps.
 10. With that, you’ll be brought back to the screen of this year’s nominated artists. Press the Play button to listen and the Skip button to move along to the next song.

Now you can listen to all the nominated artists and decide who you’re rooting for on Sunday. (Spotify users: Here’s your playlist.)
